ECKL were appointed as main contractor and PSCS for the construction and connection of an 8-bed prefabricated extension the existing Outpatients Department at UHK. The building is to serve as an infusion suite for procedures within the hospital. ECKL undertook the civils and ground works elements directly and co-ordinated the building installation including services, finishes, commissioning and handover.
Internal modification and demolitions were necessitated to enable suitable tie-in to the existing hospital out patients corridor. External works to the hospital cafeteria were included in the scope to provide an amenable outdoor dining space for staff.
