A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics, or an equivalent qualification. Typically, 6 to 10+ years of QS experience, with at least 3 to 4 years working for a main contractor in Ireland. A proven track record of managing the commercial side of projects up to €40 million value from start to final account. Strong working knowledge of PWC and RIAI contracts and the Construction Contracts Act 2013. Hands-on experience with CVRs, subcontract procurement and RCT. Proficiency with EQUE2 (Cubit or Cost X etc aligned), Autodesk Build or similar software Full clean driving licence with willingness to travel to sites

The role

We are recruiting a Junior / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to help us deliver projects across the residential, commercial, education and healthcare sectors. Working under the guidance of our Senior Quantity Surveyors, you will support the commercial management of projects from tender handover through to final account. You will work as part of our Delivery Team alongside Project Managers, Site Managers and the wider project team, gaining broad hands-on experience and structured support towards chartership.

Main Duties

Commercial management and reporting Assist in preparing monthly Cost Value Reconciliations Track project costs and maintain accurate commercial records Help identify commercial risks and opportunities and raise them with the Senior QS

Main contract administration: Gain experience administering contracts under both RIAI and PWC forms Carry out measurement and quantity take-offs to support monthly payment claims to clients Help prepare contractual notices and maintain full contemporaneous records, including site diaries, instructions and correspondence Measure and price variations and help prepare submissions Support the preparation of the main contract final account

Procurement and subcontract management: Help prepare subcontract and supply package enquiries and tender comparisons Support the preparation of subcontract orders and agreements Assess subcontractor payment claims and variations under supervision, and help prepare payment notices Maintain RCT records and subcontractor documentation Help reconcile and agree subcontract final accounts

Requirements

A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics 2 to 5 years of QS experience. Graduates are welcome to apply, and experience with a main contractor in Ireland is an advantage A basic understanding of measurement, construction technology and forms of contract such as PWC and RIAI Good numerical skills and strong attention to detail Proficiency in Excel, with exposure to Surveying platforms such as EQUE2, Cubit, CostX, Autodesk Build or similar software desirable (training will be provided) Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
