Conservation and Heritage
Doneraile House was originally constructed in 1600s, with various additions up to 1869.
Though part of the public grounds of Doneraile Court, the house is currently not open to the public and the purpose of the current scope is to enable this and facilitate exhibition and display.
ECKL’s works focused on the ground and basement levels. Extensive restoration and refurbishment works will be completed to joinery, doors, windows, and stonework. Existing fabric has been retained and repaired sympathetically to maintain the authenticity of this heritage house.
Mechanical and Electrical works are incorporated to provide heating, lighting and fire protection throughout and are concealed in a manner appropriate to a period house.
Externally disabled parking with associated ramps and pathways have been constructed. Landscaping to compliment the scheme and Park will be completed.
