Eamon Costello (Kerry) Ltd have further rolled out the strategic renewal of their plant fleet by taking delivery of their latest addition in the form of a Merlo P40.17Plus teleporter.

This machine is a direct replacement for a 1999 Merlo P35.13evs which had reached the end of its service with the company. The new machine was supplied by McHale Plant Sales, Birdhill, Co.Tipperary.

The teleporter was delivered to the companies Liebherr site at Fossa, Killarney, Co. Kerry where it will be put straight to work on the construction of a large scale fabrication hall extension.

Commenting on delivery of the machine Company director Declan Costello added; ‘the purchase of the new Merlo represents the 7th Merlo teleporter the company has owned since our initial purchase of this brand of machine in 1997. There’s a reason we go back – we have found them to be extremely reliable, and versatile machines with great driver visibility and concise controls which are essential in busy sites. In addition we have found them to be fuel efficient while possessing ample power to undertake more onerous tasks like shovel loading duties.’

‘The new machine fits our requirements ideally as it has the stability and capacity we require when lifting and placing loads at height.’

Eamon Costello (Kerry) Ltd is currently well underway in the construction of the Hall 5 extension at Liebherr which will require the new teleporter to assist in construction duties at heights in excess of 15m.
