Tricel had a requirement to change the use of existing storage areas into manufacturing facilities to aid with the production of their products due to increased demand. The Works comprised the demolition of existing internal facilities and reconfiguration of layouts including provision for Atex rated work zones. Significant alterations to the external facades of the facilities were required to facilitate the new need of the facility. This included large fast acting fire shutter roller doors with Atex requirement, large structural steel mezzanines and Work platforms, plantroom construction and fit out, heat rooms construction, AHU design and installation, gantry bridge design and installation, silo base foundations including 11.0m diameter 350mm ODEX bores and cast piles using CFA, and, co-ordination of specialist sub-contractors working on behalf of Tricel. A new concrete access road including automated controlled access gates and service yard were constructed along with all ancillary drainage and services Works.
