ECKL were contracted to demolish the existing public toilets on the Ballybunion beach front and replace them with a modern fully accessible building to serve the public. Constructed in the 1950’s the existing toilets had reached their useable end and needed major intervention to modernise them. A decision was taken to demolish the existing structure and drop it to footpath level. The original had been elevated to achieve a gravity flow from the toilets. The new building is traditional masonry construction and includes an RC retaining wall. Internally a male and female section will be included with full Part M compliant WC’s provided.
